This lovely Tuscany villa for rent is located right inside the ancient city walls of Civitella in Val di Chiana, a beautiful fortified hill town with the ruins of a 13th century castle. The entrance of the holiday home faces the castle whereas the back has a spectacular view over the Chiana Valley towards the medieval town of Cortona. The accommodation is on two floors. On the ground floor there is a large dining room, a double living room with fireplace and upright piano, a fully equipped kitchen –including dishwasher and washing machine-, a study/bedroom and a bathroom. The living room, with a wonderful view, opens out onto a stone terrace, whereas the kitchen leads to a glass enclosed veranda. On the second floor there are 4 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. One of the bedrooms is also furnished as study. The villa is elegantly furnished, some are 19th-century furniture, is full of books of all genres, and has Wi-Fi. Outside there is a small lawn with lavender and rosemary shrubs and a large exotic tree.
Civitella has 2 restaurants, a small grocery shop with fresh bread every morning, a post office and an antique shop. Nearby are available swimming pools, tennis courts, horseback riding and spas.
