This beautiful holiday home near Cortona, is located at a 15 min drive (15km) from this famed Etruscan and medieval town, main cultural and artistic centre of the Val di Chiana after Arezzo. The cottage is the outbuilding of an old farmhouse, dating back to the 18th century, where the owners live. According to local authorities, the farmhouse was in ancient times used as a resting place for travellers and their horses, from which derives its unique and exquisite farming architecture. Positioned on top of a hill, the cottage enjoys a breathtaking view over the typical Tuscan countryside of wheat fields, sunflowers, olive groves and cypresses. The house has recently been renovated in respect of the traditional rural style together with simple elegance and modern comforts. Furnished in very good taste, the cottage, all on the ground floor can guest up to 6 people, consists of a very bright living room (with a single sofa bed), fire place, full equipped kitchen and comfortable 2 bedrooms (1 double and one with twin bed, convertible into double) with En-Suite bathrooms; an additional sofa bed is located into one bedroom. Outside there is a porch for outdoor meals, a barbecue and a small private garden with a wonderful view over the countryside.
