The history of this estate dates back to 1300 and according to one of the most circulated historical accounts, it was later given as a present by the Republic of Florence to Gino di Neri Capponi who led the Florentine militia to victory against the city of Pisa in 1406. It is said that Gino di Neri Capponi built the villa as a solid outpost against the Pisans. As declared by the tiles on the roof of the villa, it was later completed between 1580 and 1589. The villa has since been the residence of distinguished personalities of Italy’s history.
The estate consists of 2 self-catering farmhouses, one with 5 apartments and one with 4 apartments, and a detached house with one apartment. They have been elegantly renovated with love and furnished in very good taste. Each farmhouse has its own swimming pool (15x8m, open May-Sept).
