These comfortable accommodations in Chianti are located in a recently renovated building in the historic centre of Colle Val d’Elsa, a beautiful town in the heart of Tuscany whose earliest settlements date back to the remote Etruscan-Roman period and was also mentioned by Dante in his “Divine Comedy” (Purgatorio XIII, verses 115-119). Full of historical sites, Colle Val d’Elsa hides many attractions which never cease to pleasantly surprise tourists and, furthermore, it hosts important and interesting events throughout the year and not only during the holiday season. Furthermore, being in Chianti, Colle Val d’Elsa is near to some of the most important Tuscan wineries as well as being at a very short distance from Siena, Florence, San Gimignano and Volterra.
The oldest part of the town is in the “Colle Alta”, the higher part, whereas this Bed and Breakfast is located in the “Piano”, the lower part at the foot of the hill, at approx. 100 mt from the Crystal Museum and Piazza Arnolfo, the central point of the Piano. This holiday accommodation in Colle Val Elsa has 5 bedrooms, all with a private bathroom and some with extra beds. The B&B is on 3 floors: ground floor with reception, lounge room and breakfast area, whereas the rooms are on the 1st and 2nd floors. Air conditioning on request at the moment of booking. Half-board can be arranged on request. A view of the medieval town can be enjoyed from the windows of three rooms of the B&B. The owner is of Italian origins but has spent half of her life in Australia where she still has many strong ties. Because of her love for Tuscany she sold all her possessions and moved to this region to start her own B&B activity.
